4ocean Bali's Captain, Bismo, has a simple message: for humans to be less greedy while more conscious of how we treat our natural resources.

At 60 years old, Bismo witnessed how plastic pollution has worsened over time. He blames human greed and the rising population for destroying Bali's nature.

With 4ocean, Bismo intends to spend the rest of his life protecting the environment. He believes that he must maintain and clean his home, including the nature in which he exists and benefits. As locals grow more reliant on 4ocean to clean their trash, Bismo also aims to educate his community to take responsibility for their actions. He hopes that the next generation will have the chance to enjoy the abundance and beauty of the Bali he used to know.
